PRIVACY POLICY

Clear choices. Limited data.

Effective 11 September 2026. This policy explains how AKZU Lens handles information when you use the extension and its private service.

Data handled

AKZU Lens may process text, links, page titles, page URLs, selected images or screenshots, extracted page structure, product details, prices, and page snapshots. The extension also stores its settings, saved products, watches, activity history and usage counters.

When data leaves Chrome

Local capture, colour, copy, inspection and export tools run in the browser. Content is sent to the AKZU Lens service only when you explicitly select an AI action, request an automation plan, save a server-backed product tracker, or enable a server-backed page watch.

AI providers

AI requests are routed to Google Gemini or Groq to produce the requested result. Only the material needed for that request is transmitted. AKZU Lens does not sell user data or use it for advertising.

Storage and retention

Extension preferences and local items remain in Chrome storage until removed by the user or the extension is uninstalled. The server retains enabled watches, saved products and price history, recent change events, and daily provider usage counts. Users can remove tracked products and watches from the extension. Operational HTTP and security logs may be retained by the hosting environment for reliability and abuse prevention.

Security

Remote traffic uses HTTPS. Provider credentials remain on the server and are not included in the extension. Access is protected by a dedicated client token and an extension-origin allowlist.

Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide or improve user-facing AKZU Lens features, maintain security, and operate the service.

Choices and deletion

You can avoid remote processing by using only local tools and leaving AI disabled. Public activation creates a random installation token whose server-side representation is stored as a one-way hash; no account is required. Remove individual watches and products in Settings. For support or a server-data deletion request, use the support channel linked from the AKZU Lens Chrome Web Store listing.

Changes

Material changes to these practices will be disclosed in the extension and reflected on this page before the new practices apply.
